We are Jill and Paul. We moved to Robin Hill Farm in 2010 leaving behind the corporate world in the South East. We have the pleasure of looking after and living at Robin Hill Farm all year round and love being surrounded by nature as well as being close to the coast – somewhat of a novelty as we both originate from The Midlands.
Helping us to keep our cottages clean and fresh are a small team of friendly folk – Trudi and Keith; Rob; Pam and Emily; and Debbie. You may meet them around the site on changeover days. You might also spot our cat – Taz, however, she is quite shy and tends to seek out quiet sunny spots below our garden.
We both like the outdoors and Paul will often be seen mowing the grass – which seems to grow constantly in North Devon.
Jill has fond memories of being brought up on a farm – ‘disappearing for hours with my sisters to make fortresses and slides in the hay barn (which used to drive Dad mad) or building dens in a hedge and, best of all, constructing and then releasing dams in the stream’. So arriving to view Robin Hill Farm in October 2009 and seeing it gradually revealed: set on a hill, surrounded by green fields swooping down to the still waters of Jennetts Reservoir felt like a return to home. Discovering that one of those fields AND 5 acres of woodland with a stream to paddle in was also included was just the icing on the cake!
